Outreach Agent
The AI SDR Outreach Agent automates your multi-channel sales outreach with personalized emails, LinkedIn messages, and phone calls at scale.
Understanding AI Agents
What Are AI Agents?
AI Agents are your automated sales representatives. Each agent has its own email identity and LinkedIn connection, and can be assigned to campaigns to execute personalized multi-channel outreach at scale.
Agent Status Indicators
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Prospecting | The agent is currently assigned to an active campaign. The campaign name will appear below the agent. |
| Available | The agent is ready to be assigned to a new campaign. |
Important Note
An agent may show "Prospecting" even if the campaign has completed sending all messages. This simply means the agent is still tied to that campaign. You can reassign the agent to a new campaign at any time.
Agent Email Setup
Each AI Agent requires an email account for sending outreach. You have two options:
- Connect Your Domain: Link your existing company domain for brand consistency.
- Purchase a Fresh Domain: Our team can set up a new domain specifically for outreach, which goes through a warming process to ensure high deliverability and protect your main domain's reputation.
Connecting Your LinkedIn Account
To enable LinkedIn outreach, you'll need to connect a team member's LinkedIn account to each agent. This is done by providing your LinkedIn session cookies:
Log into LinkedIn
Log into LinkedIn in your browser (Chrome recommended).
Open Developer Tools
Open your browser's Developer Tools (Right-click → Inspect, or press F12).
Navigate to Cookies
Navigate to the Application tab → Cookies → linkedin.com.
Copy Cookie Values
Find and copy the required cookie values (li_at is the primary session cookie).
Paste in Laxis
Paste the cookie values into the LinkedIn connection field in your agent settings.
Cookie Expiration
LinkedIn cookies expire periodically. If your LinkedIn outreach stops working, you may need to reconnect by repeating this process with fresh cookies.
Contact our team if you need assistance with email or LinkedIn setup.
Campaign Dashboard
Understanding Your Campaign Overview
The Campaigns section provides an overview of all your outreach campaigns and their current status.
Days Left: Indicates the remaining time for your campaign's outreach sequence to complete.
Assigned Agents: Shows which AI Agents are currently working on this campaign. More agents = higher daily outreach volume (each agent has daily sending limits to maintain deliverability).
Quick Actions
Pause/Resume Toggle: Temporarily stop all outreach for this campaign. When paused:
- All scheduled messages are held (not skipped)
- No leads will miss their touchpoints
- When resumed, outreach continues from where it left off
Using the Schedule View
Reviewing Upcoming Outreach
The Schedule view displays the next 20 touchpoints scheduled across all your campaigns. This gives you a preview of what's going out and the ability to make last-minute adjustments.
Editing Individual Touchpoints
Click on any scheduled touchpoint to review and edit the message. This gives you flexibility to:
- Adjust personalization for a specific lead
- Modify messaging based on new information
- Fine-tune tone or call-to-action for individual prospects
Quality Check
Use the Schedule view to spot-check AI-generated messages and ensure personalization is being applied correctly across different lead profiles.
Understanding Campaign Analytics
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Your campaign dashboard tracks several important metrics to help you measure and optimize performance:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Leads | Number of prospects in your campaign list |
| Emails Sent | Total email touchpoints delivered across all leads |
| Open Rate | Percentage of sent emails that were opened by recipients |
| Response Rate | Percentage of recipients who replied to your outreach |
| Click Rate | Percentage of recipients who clicked a link in your email |
Creating a Campaign
Creating a new campaign involves four key steps: selecting your prospect source, configuring campaign details, building your outreach sequence, and setting launch preferences.
Step 1: Selecting Your Prospect Source
Choose where your campaign leads will come from:
Option A: Prospect List (from AI Research)
Activate your high-value prospect research lists. These leads come with enriched data from the Laxis database and any custom AI Research you've conducted — perfect for highly personalized outreach.
Option B: Upload Contacts
Import leads from any source via CSV upload. Map your columns to Laxis fields (first name, last name, email, company, etc.).
Option C: Import from CRM
Connect your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) and import leads directly. Choose between static lists or dynamic lists that refresh every 15 minutes.
Pro Tip
When uploading contacts, the AI SDR can leverage ANY data point you include! Add custom fields like "Recent News", "Pain Points", or "Competitor Used" to enable deeper personalization.
CRM Import Types:
- Static List: One-time import of a specific list from your CRM.
- Active/Dynamic List: Laxis refreshes every 15 minutes to pull in new leads added to your CRM list — enabling continuous, always-on campaigns.
- Form Integration: Connect a web form so new submissions automatically enter your multi-channel outreach campaign in real-time.
Real-World Example: A prospect fills out a demo request form → they're immediately added to your "Inbound Demo Requests" campaign → AI SDR sends a personalized follow-up within minutes.
Step 2: Configuring Campaign Details
Provide the information your AI SDR agents need to execute effective, personalized outreach:
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Receiving Emails | Email addresses to receive notifications when prospects respond (especially positive responses). Add multiple team members to ensure optimal visibility. | [email protected] |
| Calendar Page URL | Your scheduling link that AI agents can include in outreach for easy meeting booking. | https://calendly.com/yourname/30min |
| Phone Number | Contact number the AI SDR can reference in messaging or for call-back requests. | +1 (555) 123-4567 |
| Product/Service Description | Describe what you're selling. This information is used by AI agents to craft relevant messaging for THIS specific campaign. | "We provide AI-powered sales automation that helps B2B teams book 3x more meetings with half the manual effort." |
| Customer Pain Points | List the problems your solution solves. AI agents use this to connect your offering to prospect needs. | "SDRs spend too much time on manual prospecting; low response rates on cold outreach; difficulty scaling personalization." |
Campaign-Specific Settings
Tailor these fields for each campaign. A campaign targeting CFOs should emphasize different pain points than one targeting Marketing Directors.
Step 3: Building Your Multi-Channel Sequence
Email Touchpoints
Configure each email touchpoint with a prompt that guides the AI SDR:
Writing Effective Prompts: Describe the message intent, tone, and key points to cover.
Example: "Write a friendly first touch email introducing our solution. Mention their recent funding round and how we help companies scale their sales team."
Using Variables: Insert dynamic data using variables to personalize each message. All variables from AI Research can be used, including:
- Person fields:
{{per_first_name}},{{per_job_title}},{{per_city}}, etc. - Organization fields:
{{org_company_name}},{{org_industry}},{{org_technologies}}, etc. - Custom fields from CSV uploads or AI Research results
Variables are wrapped in double curly braces when used in prompts. See the AI Research page for the complete list of available variables.
Auto-Enhance: Click Auto-Enhance to have AI optimize your prompt for better deliverability and engagement. Review the enhanced version to ensure your key context is preserved.
Prompt Templates: Use pre-built templates as starting points and customize for your use case.
Preview Across Leads: Always preview your message across multiple leads to verify personalization is working correctly and messaging flows naturally with different data combinations.
LinkedIn Touchpoints
LinkedIn outreach has daily limits to stay compliant with platform guidelines and protect your account:
Daily Limits:
- 10 actions per day (combined connection requests and messages)
- Rate limits apply per AI Agent
Important: When a lead's LinkedIn touchpoint is skipped due to reaching the daily limit, that touchpoint is permanently skipped and will not be automatically rescheduled.
Strategy Tip
To ensure all leads receive LinkedIn touchpoints, consider starting sequences with LinkedIn (accepts slower velocity) or reduce the number of leads per campaign.
Phone Call Touchpoints
Configure AI-powered cold calls with customized scripts. Your prompt should include:
- Opening hook and value proposition
- Key talking points and pain points to address
- Desired call-to-action (schedule meeting, transfer call, etc.)
Assigning Agents
Select which AI Agents will work on this campaign. Adding more agents increases daily outreach capacity.
Email Sending Limits:
- Each AI Agent can send a maximum of 35 emails per day
- Multiple agents can be assigned to a single campaign to increase daily outreach volume
- Limits are in place to maintain high deliverability and protect sender reputation
Example: Assigning 3 agents to a campaign allows you to send up to 105 emails per day (35 × 3).
Step 4: Configuring Launch Preferences
AI Voice Settings
Configure how AI handles phone call outcomes:
- Transfer Calls: Automatically transfer interested prospects to your team in real-time
- Calendar Integration: AI can schedule meetings directly on your connected calendar
Time Zone & Send Window
Select the time zone and business hours for outreach. Messages will ONLY be sent within your specified window (e.g., 9 AM - 5 PM in the prospect's local time).
Time Zone Consideration
Consider your prospects' time zones. If targeting the East Coast from the West Coast, adjust your window accordingly to reach them during their business hours.
