AI Connector (MCP)
Bring your meetings into the AI assistant you already use.
The Laxis MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, and other AI tools search and read your own Laxis meetings — transcripts, summaries, participants, and action items — right inside the chat. Instead of hunting through recordings, you just ask.
Nothing to install or run
Laxis hosts the connector for you. There is no local program, Docker image, or npm package — you add one URL to your AI tool and sign in with your Laxis account. There is no API key to copy or paste.
What you can ask
Once connected, your assistant can answer questions grounded in what was actually said in your meetings:
- Recall decisions and commitments — "What did we agree on pricing in my last call with Acme?"
- Catch up fast — "Summarize my meetings from this week and list the action items."
- Find the exact moment — "Find where the customer mentioned their renewal date."
- Prep for the next call — "Who attended the Q3 planning meeting, and what did we promise to follow up on?"
- Draft from real context — "Write a follow-up email based on yesterday's demo."

Whatever the tool, the connection address is always the same. You'll also find it, with a Copy MCP URL button, in Laxis under Settings → Integrations (web) or Settings → Integration (desktop):

What the connector can do
The connector is read-only. It returns raw excerpts from your meetings, and your AI assistant writes the answer. It never changes anything in your Laxis account.
| Capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Browse meetings | Lists your recent meetings — title, date, duration, status, and a short summary. |
| Search meetings | Searches across all your transcripts by meaning, not just keywords, and returns the most relevant excerpts. |
| Meeting details | Participants, keywords, and the AI summary for one meeting. |
| Full transcript | The complete transcript text with speaker names and timestamps. |
Ask for the source
Your assistant can cite the meeting and timestamp behind every claim. If an answer looks surprising, ask "which meeting and what time was that from?" to jump straight to the moment.
Requirements
- A Laxis account on the Premium or Business plan (the free Premium trial works too). On the Basic plan, you'll be asked to upgrade.
- Recorded meetings in your account.
- An AI tool that supports remote MCP connectors (see the setup pages above). Some tools, such as ChatGPT custom connectors, require a paid plan or a workspace where connectors are enabled.
Security and privacy
You stay in control
You sign in with your Laxis account through your browser (OAuth 2.1 + PKCE) and approve access once. You only ever see your own meetings, and you can disconnect a tool at any time.
- Read-only. The connector cannot create, edit, or delete anything in Laxis.
- Your data only. Every request is scoped to your account.
- No shared secret. Signing in with your Laxis account means there is no long-lived key to copy, store, or leak. Access refreshes automatically while the tool stays connected.
- You choose what to ask. Your assistant only fetches meeting content when a question calls for it.
See Security and Privacy for how Laxis protects your recordings overall.
Troubleshooting
The tool says it isn't authorized, or nothing happens.
Re-run the sign-in step for your tool (in Claude Code, run /mcp and choose
Authenticate; in Cursor, click Sign in next to Laxis). Approve the browser prompt and
close the tab.
My assistant says it can't find any meetings. Confirm you signed in with the same Laxis account that owns the recordings, and that the meetings finished processing in Laxis.
I'm asked to upgrade. The AI Connector is part of the Premium and Business plans. See Billing & Plans.
I see duplicate Laxis tools. You have added Laxis to the same tool twice. Remove one of them.
I want to disconnect. Remove the Laxis connector from your AI tool (see the setup page for your tool). To have us revoke a tool's access from the Laxis side as well, email [email protected].
