Chrome Extension

The Laxis Chrome Extension seamlessly integrates with Google Meet to provide real-time transcription, highlighting, and note-taking capabilities during your meetings.

Getting Started

1. Install the Laxis Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. Click the Laxis extension icon or navigate to Google Meet
3. Log in to your Laxis account if not already logged in
4. Join or start a Google Meet meeting

Using the Extension

Panel Overview

When you join a Google Meet, the Laxis panel appears on the right side of your screen. The panel displays:

• Meeting title with auto-generated name (e.g., Meeting_20260114_2215)
• Real-time transcript with speaker names, timestamps, and spoken text
• Toolbar at the top with quick-access buttons
• Highlight flags at the bottom for marking important moments

Changing Transcription Language

Laxis supports 69 languages in Google Meet. To change the transcription language:

1. Click the CC button in the toolbar
2. Select your preferred language from the dropdown
3. The transcription will use the selected language

Highlighting Key Moments

Use the three color-coded flags to highlight important paragraphs during the meeting:

Simply click a flag button while viewing a transcript segment to apply the highlight.

Collapsing the Panel

To minimize distractions during your meeting:

1. Click the collapse button (arrow icon) in the top-right corner of the panel
2. The panel shrinks to a compact vertical bar showing only essential buttons
3. Click the expand button to restore the full panel view

Downloading Transcripts

Laxis provides multiple formats for downloading your meeting transcripts:

1. Click the download button in the toolbar
2. Select your preferred File Type (e.g., Laxis Cloud)
3. Choose your options:
   • Highlights - Include highlighted segments
   • Timestamps - Include timing information
   • Autosave to Laxis Cloud - Automatically sync to your Laxis account
4. Click Download to save the transcript
